As a wilderness attraction, the Eburru Forest, with its stunning natural scenery and diverse wild fauna has great promise. In easy reach of urban centres and just two hours from Nairobi, Eburru has enormous recreational potential.
Current ER activities include:
+ Funding to train community forest guides for all types of visitor wishing to explore the forest.
+ Infrastructure development through forest tracks and hiking trails.
+ Promotion of the guidebook for visitors to visit the Reserve via 'The Mau Eburru Forest - A Visitors Guide' by Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust.
+ Support managed entrances, community shop and education training at the main gate.
